Snapper

Snapper

She was a feral kitten that became my foster fail. She was never completely tame and crabby most of the time but I still loved her.

Palma

Palma

Palma Naomi Del Mar was a sato dog from Puerto Rico. Sato means mutt. I rescued her and her brother Rico while vacationing in the island. I brought them home with the intention to find them a home and a good home they found in ours. They both lived to be 17 years old. They had a great life together with other fur siblings at home.
We miss them dearly.

Cooper

Cooper

Cooper was a once in a lifetime dog. We were so lucky to have him for almost 15 years. His favorite thing to do was to pick up a stick on our morning walks in the woods.

Everleigh

Everleigh

Everleigh was a rescued Siamese that lived to 20 years. She used scratching posts relentlessly, she loved belly rubs, and she was my sidekick during the most difficult period of my life. Miss you, little goose. ❤️

Bubba

Bubba

Such a happy dog.

Charlotte

Charlotte

My cat Charlotte was a wonderful girl! She was my constant companion for 15 years, the joy of my heart. She was the best cat in the whole wide world! Never to be forgotten.

Buddy

Buddy

Buddy was a rescue dog. We rescued him when he was eight months old. He was a loving and loyal dog. He loved being around his furry sisters who were also rescued. Bella passed in 2022 at the age of 12 and Bailey passed in 2023 at the age of 13. Buddy passed away July 5 of this year at the age of 14. They are now all together.

Tobbie

Tobbie

Tobbie, my fur buddy for 17 years, crossed the Rainbow Bridge due to declining health.

Lucy

Lucy

Here’s a photo of my Italian greyhound, Lucy, who crossed over the rainbow bridge on 6/2/24, with the help of A Gentle Farewell. She was a sweet, silly, wonderful dog, who I miss terribly and will always remember.

Bentley

Bentley

We adopted Bentley in October 2014. He was believed to be 4-5 years old, although our vet said probably 5-6 years old. We were blessed with almost 10 years with him. As our daughter said after he crossed the rainbow bridge, we don’t know anything about his first years of life, but he had an amazing 10 years with us. Turns out we rescued each other. He filled our home with joy and we miss him terribly. He was very special, and so very loved. When the day came we knew it was time to say goodbye, we called A Gentle Farewell to help him cross the rainbow bridge. Dr. Murphy was so patient and kind as we struggled to say goodbye. We are so grateful for the option to have Bentley at home with us as he went to sleep. Rest in peace our sweet Bentley boy.

Samantha

Samantha

“Samantha (aka Sammie) chose me when she was two months old. She loved to play, and run, and jump up to the top shelf of the condo. She was full of life and gave her brothers some sass. She slept with me every night. Later in life, she developed serious health issues–mega-colon, seizures, and early kidney and was on meds three times a day for 3 years. She did very well. She never fought me. Always took every pill with her sweet, patient personality. She developed lymphoma which is what finally took her at age 16 1/2. Her final days she was still eating, exploring the house and showing…”

Hunter Bates

Hunter Bates

“We recently had to say goodbye to our beloved boy. A Gentle Farewell came to our home to give him the final moments he deserved. Hunter, a 12 year old chocolate lab, was devoted, our fierce protector and loving boy from the moment he joined us at 14 weeks old. He was our special boy who leaves a massive void in our home. We will forever miss his kisses, playful barks and pawing us. We thank A Gentle Farewell for their compassion and support during that difficult farewell.”

Mary

“Mary was such a sweet girl and loved so much by her mom. Everyone in the neighborhood loved to see her walking and her mom made sure she got lots of walks. She was a gentle soul and she will be greatly missed.”

Mary

Mary

“My sweet Mary was a very protective girl but once she got to know you it was tail wagging time! She loved her walks in the park and around the neighborhood. She was always looking out the window to look for other dogs walking down the street. She loved her treats especially the kabobs! She was a very good watchdog and barked whenever someone was stopping by..I didn’t have to listen for the doorbell! She loved her belly rubs and back scratches. I’ll miss her very much, she was a wonderful companion and friend.💔”

Rosa

Rosa

“Rosa was a red tick coon hound—very boisterous and would bark a lot like she was talking to other dogs. She was a loving, crazy dog who loved her bones. She even had her own chair to look out the living room window. Rosa was very loved and will be missed.”

Cody

Cody

“We will always cherish your self-importance, spunkiness, adorable face, positive demeanor, love, cuteness, and the list goes on forever. You added so much to our lives and hope we did the same to yours. You were an ambassador of the Brussel’s Griffon breed, but above all, you were our little boy. Love, Mom and Dad”

Missy May

Missy May

“Grief is so deeply misunderstood, even in the earliest days of our lives, that it should not be bestowed. Missy was more than family; she was the heart of our family. We miss her oh so much. Grief has no limits on when it will consume life. So, for her and what matters most, we must show up and love a little harder in the places where doubt shouldn’t exist.”
