TAMPA, FL (June 7, 2022) – The International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care (IAAHPC) will be hosting its upcoming annual conference virtually from September 30 to October 2. For the second year in a row, Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice will be the conference’s presenting sponsor, with The Kitty sponsorship.

Lap of Love is a growing, nationwide network of veterinarians dedicated to maintaining comfort and quality of life for terminally ill or geriatric pets through hospice care and, ultimately, peaceful in-home euthanasia.

“We are honored to serve as The Kitty sponsor of IAAHPC’s annual conference,” said Lap of Love founder and CEO Dr. Dani McVety. “At Lap of Love, we believe that all pets deserve peaceful, dignified end-of-life care, not just the families who use our services. The Kitty sponsorship helps us share our gold-standard hospice and palliative care protocols with other veterinary professionals in the field.”

The annual IAAHPC conference will take place virtually for 24 hours per day over three days and will feature over 40 speakers and 350 international attendees. Attendees will be eligible for up to 31 CE credit hours. The theme is All In, which will involve interactive gambling activities and a focus on the following topics: International, Innovation, Integration, Interdisciplinary, and Involvement.

“We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice,” explains Coleen A. Ellis, CT, CPLP. “Their enthusiasm to sponsor our annual conference demonstrates their commitment to and their leadership within this field of veterinary medicine. Not only does the IAAHPC benefit from Lap of Love’s support, but so many doctors and pets benefit from Lap of Love’s dedication and sponsorship.”

The IAAHPC promotes veterinary care that addresses the physical, psychological, and social needs of animals with chronic diseases. This global organization also works to educate professionals and advance research in animal hospice and palliative care.

Lap of Love is a national practice dedicated exclusively to in-home, end-of-life care for pets. We believe all pets and their family deserve the most compassionate and supportive end-of-life experience. Our experienced veterinarians help pets and their parents with quality-of-life assessments, pain and anxiety management, end-of-life consultations, and peaceful euthanasia in the comfort of their pet’s favorite place—home.
