2021 Conference

Back To The Future!
We are so looking forward to seeing you at the conference! We know that many people have strong feelings about masks and COVID in general. As an organization, we’re trying to make the best of a tumultuous situation. We were obviously hoping that the early summer circumstances were going to hold and that we would be able to host a “normal” conference with minimal COVID precautions. Unfortunately, because our host location has a very high level of community spread and the CDC recommends taking additional precautions because of the epidemiology of the Delta variant, we have decided to require masking and to follow their recommendations for distancing, etc. This is both to protect the organization as well as to do everything we possibly can to minimize the impact of a COVID related disruption in the already-stressful lives of each of our members.

We truly want the conference to be as welcoming as possible to all of our attendees, including those with isolation and quarantine requirements when returning home, those with children unable to get vaccinated, and those with (and caring for loved ones with) underlying health conditions. For all of those reasons, masks will be required at our event and we ask sincerely that you comply with that requirement. We have scheduled as much open networking and free time into our schedule as possible so that smaller groups that would like to meet outside or off-site can do so without having to worry about the mask requirement.

Following the conference, select recordings from conference talks will be available for purchase. As future conferences have the possibility of being virtual, join us in Tampa for networking and spending one-on-one time with old friends and meet new friends.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will there also be a virtual conference option for the 2021 event?
For the 2021 event, we will be in-person with the opportunity to connect, reconnect, and learn together. We looked to our members for guidance in this option, and heard the IAAHPC membership group was ready to see each other, and make-up for the lost time of 2020 in appreciating each other’s presence. As with other conferences, there will be select recordings for purchase when the event is over.
