Patches
A week ago today, it was time to say goodbye to my beloved, sweet Patches. When I rescued her, the shelter estimated her age to be 3. I was blessed to have her as my best friend and companion for a 10 1/2. I don’t know where the time went. I can’t believe you’re gone for good, Patches. It’s so lonely and quiet without you. I miss all the silly things you did, your excitement to get mint cookies before bed, and having someone to come home too. Deep down I know I did the best thing for you, but I wish I could’ve had just a few more days with you. Thank you for all the love, laughter, snuggles, and protection you provided. There will never be another one like you. Mommy loves you so much.

That is a great picture! I think you came to visit me in CO and we were at a shoe store when you started talking about adopting a dog. I hope I am not remembering wrong. 🤦♀️ I know Patches wad a big part of your life and will be dearly missed! I am sorry that your heart aches! Praying for God’s comfort and peace.

While I didn’t know patches, I too am a dog mom and sympathize with the loss Lori is experiencing. We are blessed to experience their love and companionship and provide care for them while they are with us and nothing can ever compare to the bond that’s created. 🐶💗
