Tank

We adopted Tank in June of 2024 after losing our best friend of 14 years in January. Tank was born in the shelter on Christmas Eve and after being adopted he was soon returned. We knew Tank was the one for us at first sight. So full of light, energy, and joy. Tank was a Labrador Great Dane mix. But he never let his size stop him from giving big hugs and cuddles. We found out in September that same year about Tank’s leukemia. We didn’t know how much time we had left but we knew that last thing we were going to do to was let him be given up on again. Tank fought his cancer and continued treatment all while being with me in my Senior photos, Trick-or-Treating with us, his birthday, Christmas, tons of baths, visiting me at work, playing with his bunny sister and spreading love everywhere he went. Unfortunately as time went by Tank’s cancer progressed and as a family it was time to make the next most difficult decision to keep fighting a losing battle or focus on enjoying the last precious moments and that’s what we did. Tank never lost his love or light not one time and stayed caring for my mom and I till he was ready to let go. We love you forever Lovebug. -Love Mom, Big Sis, and all your friends and family.

When i first met tank, he was this beautiful, and energetic dog. he was the most loving and playful dog that i ever met. he was my best friend too, i remembered spending time with him whenever i came over. i always see him about to run towards me to greet me because he was always excited to see me, and i was always excited to see him. i remembered spending time with him during halloween with my best friend Diem and her Mother. we were working though neighbors and getting candy while tank was getting treats from the people who was giving out our candy. i remembered a another time when it was the day of the NFL finials, tank was wearing a referee shirt to support the team we were cheering for. tank was my best friend, he is no longer suffering from the pain that he was fighting for a very long time. i wish i was able to see him one more time. but i will light this candle up for him knowing that i’m here with him now.

Tank was one of the most joyful dogs I have ever met. Every interaction I had with tank was a memorable one. You would never know Tank had anything wrong with him, because all Tank cared about was giving love and joy to everyone he could. He was on this earth way too short of time, but he touched more lives than someone that had 100 years on this earth. I know for a fact where ever he is now, he is making someone smile. Tank gave the best hugs ever, and he was always on a mission to get some pig ears. I miss and I will never forget you Tank. 🥰❤️
