Rosa

Rosa was a unique and fabulous dog. Ginny (a 1 year old from a hoarding situation) bonded with Rosa at the Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue. When I went to pick up Ginny, the rescue said that Ginny bonded with Rosa and we talked about me bringing Rosa home with Ginny. The first time I met Rosa, I was sitting on the floor and they brought her into the room. She came over to me, got down on the floor and put her head between my knees. From that moment on, I knew we were meant to be together.
Every day, Rosa helped Ginny get rid of fears and adjust to her new life in a safe and loving home. As soon as people met Rosa, they felt a connection to her. Even people, that were apprehensive of dogs, enjoyed Rosa. When visiting my mother in her retirement village, Rosa would first greet the residents in the lobby. Rosa even made a special trip to visit one of my mother’s friends that was having a difficult time and asked to see Rosa.
Rosa was 11 years old when I got here and she wanted to live inside (instead of outside), be surrounded by the people that would both love her and take care of her. I was very happy to be that person for Rosa. Whenever I looked at her, I could tell she was both happy and content.
Dr. Stellato was an answer to prayer. She helped Ginny and I prepare for Rosa moving on to heaven and she took care of Rosa so she was comfortable and peaceful. My mother, Ginny and I still miss Rosa, but get some comfort knowing we will be Rosa again. In heaven, we won’t be parted again. I appreciate Dr. Stellato’s kindness and support as well as this memorial for Rosa.

Kristine Stellato lit a candle...
You will forever be so deeply loved, Rosa.
