Luke

Luke grew up as the youngest of 3 dogs. His older brother, Dan, was quite the alpha-male. Luke came into our lives in November 2008 and was only 8 weeks old. He quickly learned to be submissive to Dan. His older sister, Annie, was easily the worst behaved dog I have ever seen! So Luke certainly did not have any guidance or love from his canine siblings. What he did have was an overwhelming amount of adoration and affection from our family. He was the baby – and such a sweetie pie too. He did not have a mean bone in his body, but when it came to protecting our family, he was a brave boy that would quickly stand up to any person or animal he thought to be a threat. I will forever envision him sitting in his “spot” under the arbor looking out over the yard to make sure all was well. Luke lived a long and happy life of 17 years, 4 months. He was our only dog for the last 10 years of his life and I enjoyed spoiling him. He was like my shadow – always there by my side. His unconditional love for me was one of the best things I’ve ever had in my life. He is deeply loved and missed.
