Brooke

I adopted Brooke in 2017, after she came to my college where I was studying to be a veterinary nurse. She had been found when she got the attention of someone on the streets and took them to her new kittens. She loved everyone and rarely showed any of the famed ‘torti-tude’. When people came over, we always joked it was just to see her because of how much she loved to see people; she never knew a stranger. She was such a playful cat, and she’s pictured with her collection of Lamb Chop toys. We’d find these all over the house within hours of cleaning them up; they now sit with her in her memorial area in our house. We lost Brooke in October of 2024, at only 8, to lymphoma. She was my soul cat, and such a hard loss to such a terrible disease, but we are so lucky to love her and to have been loved by her. If only love could save our pets, then they could live forever.

We will remember Brooke for her playfulness, the way she babied her lambchoos and the joy she brought to those who loved her.
