Adi

As a puppy Adi had half-flopped ears and a tongue that was too big for her mouth. She was active and loved to hike with me. I adopted her in Colorado, where there was a Pitbull ban, so anytime we wanted to go to the dog park we would have to drive out of the city. She was with me at my worst, when I was a young and lost adult. We grew up together. I eventually moved back home to PA, and we took a very long road trip together. I think that was the first time she did not get car sick. As I started to establish a career, get married, have a baby, then get divorced, she was always there. As I started having children, I realized she was meant to be a Nanny dog. Adi was a fierce protector. She always kept watch over my children and any other children that were around. She was a loyal friend and my soul baby. She was loved by all of our extended family, even my grandmother who was initially afraid of her, became to love her company. She loved to spoon and even as an older girl, thought she was a lap dog. I am left with a full heart and many fond memories of my sweet girl. If only there were more time, 13 years did not seem long enough. I am confident that she is sitting with my grandmother and still guarding her fiercely, waiting for me to join them. To my Adi girl, you will forever be with us in our hearts. We miss you dearly!
