CHICAGO, IL (May 1, 2022) The International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative care is excited to announce their 2022 virtual conference with a theme of “All In.” The virtual conference will take place September 30 – October 2, 2022.

With the international aspect of the association and having members all over the world, as well as a support aspect within the association to round out the interdisciplinary team for the pet and pet parent, the theme of “All In” was organic for the event.

“The success and feedback from our 2021 conference was the confirmation we needed to know this discipline of animal hospice and palliative care is growing and in huge demand, all over the world,” conference committee chair Dr. Karin Christopher commented. “I’ve seen the presentations for our event, and this year’s conference will certainly be even more robust and full of educational content for every part of the end-of-life care and walk for the pet and loving pet parent.”

Another word that fits in with the “All In” theme is innovation. “We have seen the innovation in animal end-of-life products and services from our Sponsor Partners over the years. As professionals blazing a trail and keeping up with the demands of pet parents, the IAAHPC is always thrilled to have these companies join us and support the work we do in the field. We have already had a variety of companies excited to join us yet again to share their knowledge and expertise with us so we can excel in this field,” President Dr. Diane Eigner chimed in.

A variety of sessions will cover topics such as: Hospice and Palliative Care for Natural Death and with Euthanasia, The Business of End-of-Life Care, Soft Skills and The Human Touch in the Human-Animal Bond and Grief Support, and more.  There will be an opportunity for over 30 hours of RACE continuing education credits for the event.

“We’ve learned so much over these last few years on how to facilitate a successful virtual conference. From a user-friendly virtual platform for presentation rooms and the exhibit hall to exciting social events like networking, yoga, and the possibility of a competitive casino night, we are already looking forward to these few days at the end of September. We can’t wait to see these professionals looking to elevate their skills in this area of animal end-of-life and show up “All In!” Christopher said. “And with the event being virtual, we are literally able to hold the conference 24 hours a day for the entire conference period!”

The Early Bird Registration opens June 1, 2022 and will be $295 until July 15, 2022. After that registration fees for IAAHPC members will be $350 and $495 for non-members.
