Attention all Presenters.........The Call for Proposals is now open
The International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care (IAAHPC) is calling for lecture proposals in consideration for presentation at their 8th Annual Conference. Last year's conference, held in Seattle, WA provided outstanding education to over 240 attendees. To continue in this path of excellence, we are seeking the best of the best for 2018. The conference location is the Tempe Mission Palms in the Phoenix, AZ area, October 4-7, 2018. (Please note the conference is a Friday-Sunday schedule, with a Thursday pre-conference track.)
If you, or someone you know, may be interested in presenting a lecture at the 2018 conference, please submit the following information: 1. Presentation title
2. Full name, address, contact number, and email
3. Curriculum vitae (CV) or resume
4. A short bio (10-15 sentences) for the printed program if chosen to speak
5. A brief abstract of your proposed lecture (5-10 sentences) for the printed program if chosen to speak
6. Proposed length of presentation All presentations will be 1-2 hours in length depending on the topic. Please clarify your proposed length and any special requests you may have, such as technical equipment beyond a screen and microphone.
All presenters are asked to organize 30-minutes worth of lecture material to leave ample time for questions per 1-hour lecture. All medical information must be applicable to animal hospice. Those chosen to present will be notified mid-February. The gifted honorarium is set at $250 per lecture hour. There is no reimbursement for travel, but could be covered by sponsors tied to your topic. Please let us know if you know of any interested companies/services interested in sponsoring you. Each presenter will be provided free conference registration, not including pre-conference tracks or laboratories.
Please note – All chosen 2018 presenters will be required to submit lecture proceedings. Proceedings will consist of a 3-10 page PDF document including all key points of the presentation along with any illustrations or diagrams needed to support the material. Proceedings and completed Powerpoint presentations will be due August 1, 2018. If the deadline for this submission is not met, the honorarium will be not awarded. Our conferences are often recorded for later purchase and potential use of the recording for our certification program. All presenters must sign a Recording Agreement upon acceptance to present at the 2018 conference and may be asked to submit 5-10 topic related questions for use with online recorded CE content.
