Title: Adding a Social Worker to the Team
Date: Sunday, July 15, 2018
Time: 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm ET
Presenter: Tammy Wynn, MHA, LISW, RVT, CHPT
Description: A hospice practice has to start somewhere and often starts with an entrepreneur wearing multiple hats, playing all members of the interdisciplinary team. But as the practice grows, there will likely be a desire to provide licensed personnel to tend to the different species (human and animal) represented in the "Unit of Care," or "patient." This session will tackle the nuts and bolts of how to add a Mental Health Professional to the team, and how to manage their contributions once you have them. Overcoming budget constraints will also be addressed.
Social Workers looking to intensify their study in end of life care for pets, need look no further. The IAAHPC is launching the The AHPC Social Work certificate program. This is a 61 hour NASW approved continuing education program that is presented in ten modules, nine online (37.5 hours) and one onsite at the IAAHPC conference (23.5 hours.)
This webinar will talk about the benefits of enrolling in the Social Work Certificate program and how to do so.
Social Workers who attend the webinar on July 15, 2018 are eligible for 1 CE, please note certain states do not accept NASW approval- see below. (To receive Social Work CE, post test and evaluation must be completed, please contact Tammy for details at firstname.lastname@example.org.
