Description: Veterinarians face a unique set of ethical considerations in our work, particularly in dealing with end of life issues. What is "terminal" in a patient whose life can legally be ended at any time? What does that mean for our definitions of, and options for, end of life veterinary care? How do the particular ethical considerations of working with animal patients impact our ability to model our practices after the human hospice model? Is the human hospice model always the appropriate gold standard for veterinary hospice & palliative care? This webinar will introduce these, and other ethical questions that are omnipresent in our work, and hopefully start a dialogue that can continue. Open discussion will be encouraged. Bring your own ethical dilemmas & questions to share.
